compatibility with SIGMA 120-300mm f2.8

PostThu Mar 08, 2018 11:27 am

Hi everyone,

I would like to know if someone try/test the Sigma EX – 120-300 mm - f/2.8 APO DG OS HSM with an adaptator like ring métabone MB_SPEF-BMCC-BT1 with the studio camera? does it work well?

Thanks

While the BMCC Speed Booster will work, it was designed for the BM Cinema Camera dumb MFT mount which requires an external 5VDC USB power connection. It also only offers a 0.64 focal expansion.
You really want to tomuse the EF to BMPCC MFT SB, which will get its power from the MFT Mount contacts available on the Studio Camera (which has a S16/1-inch sensor), and offered at 0.58 expansion of the image, giving you a more useable focal length range on the lens.
