Resolve 14.3 crashing on 'Looking for Control Surface'

Running an iMac - Late 2014, 32GB memory, 4GB Radeon R9 M295x

Fresh install of DaVinci Resolve 14.3 (have uninstalled several times with no luck)
Repeatable crash always at looking for control surfaces.
Logs attached as requested.

Do you have CUDA installed on the system? You don't want that on the system, but the log implies you might have it?

Turns out actually INSTALLING the latest CUDA toolset (9.1.128) from NVIDIA fixed this issue - despite not actually having a NVIDIA GPU on my system...
