Pocket Cinema Cam 4K - 2.5'' SSDs over USB C?

PostMon Apr 16, 2018 9:27 am

Hi there

The PCC 4K has that nice USB C connection. Will it be working with 2.5'' SSDs connected over SATA to USBC cable? Or just the Samsung T5 or similar? If 2.5'' SSDs work as well would be amazing.

Cheers

They should, if the enclosure has a USB-C connection. Grant indicated that this was a recording option.

Because USB C supports power, and the connector on the PCC4K provides power to the Samsung-like ssd's, It should support power to the sata type connector.

The Samsung T5 is just more compact. I bought a 500Gb one on sale yesterday at our local Fry's for $129.00 plus a $10 dollar mail-in rebate. They're coming down in price.
