This was with ND 2 engaged.

Of all the BMD camera issues, this one is the prettiest.

The rainbow flare is horrible... I didn't know about it and shot outside all day with my UMP 4.6 for a client using lots of ND. Lots of great footage is unusable in my opinion. It's a shame to have a camera with such great potential, but also so many significant problems.

The newer ones have the mask installed. There was a lot of publicity for the retrofit of the earlier cameras and so unfortunate that not everyone may have been aware of it.

This seems a bit trolly. It was fixed long ago and like Rick said, the new ones come with the mask. So what's going on here?

Well, we know that some folks buy a camera in the hopes of big chances coming along. Then these don't arrive and the camera sits in a cabinet. Finally it's sold, without taking care of any updates.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

How can I get a hold of this IR filter/fix? That little rainbow cloud has ruined one too many shots for me...

I’ll hook on this topic. I bought the Broadcast G2 and am having a terrible ‘white’ flare issue during zooming. At a certain range it’s okay but when zooming there appears a terrible white flare. When zooming further it dissappears again. When I use the 2x extender it’s even worse. If I zoom completely in the flare is gone. All shots are useless at the moment.
My lens is a B4 Canon HJ11 and I have used this lens lots of years on a Sony PDW700 and two years on a UMP G2 and have never had this issue before.
How to get rid of this?

Another problem is the huge color shift. Yesterday I filmed one hour on a sunny day, white balance set at preset 5600 the whole shooting but some shots are very green and the most are too red. Some shots are perfect.
It is horrible, it can be corrected in post but that’s not an ENG workflow; most of the time there is no time to correct because of the deadlines of a news-item.
