MP3 support on Linux - Revolve Studio

I am not able to play or import mp3 files into my project. Also mp4 recordings from a LUMIX G81 have no sound. FLAC, m4a or wav did work.
Should that work in the studio version? Can anyone confirm that?
Because if it should it must be the fault of my system and i could dig deeper. Thank you.

Have you reviewed the supported codecs document? Everything listed there works in Studio, so if it’s listed and doesn’t work for you then it’s a Studio only feature. If you aren’t, I suggest getting comfortable with ffmpeg to transcode material, the Linux side of things is a bit more restricted than others.

I have the Studio Version.
But you are right, it seems "MPEG 1 and 2 mp3 Audio Layer 3" does not work in Linux. Funny thing. Never have found a program not able to read mp3 or AAC audio.
