This camera is totally insane. It shoots at 10 trillion frames per second!

So basically, if my math is correct, it would only take 13,212 years to watch ONE SECOND played back at 24fps!

But these cameras are built to track particles moving at ⅓ the speed of light or faster. That’s a few hundredths of a millimeter for a particle that may disintegrate in that time. Some particles can only be deduced based on the particles they form because their life is so brief that they haven’t been observed.

Ha. That would have to be one incredible second of footage!

I want to pre order. Hopefully it’ll do braw, cost 1100 and include resolve studio

Wait a minute - just read the specs- can someone confirm if it has the same sensor as a Panasonic gh5? Wait it doesn’t have IBIS? And It looks too much like video? And it can’t record trillions of frames to a twenty quid SD card? And it’s not shipping yet? Cancelled my preorder

Ps I’ll issue myself the yellow card

Gavin, you cancelled too soon. I haven’t heard how long that 10 trillion fps sensor records, but it may only be for a burst of a trillionth of a second in a particle accelerator. When the search for the Higg’s boson was at a fever pitch, it took several months to review the data from particle collisions as there was just so much data. And they weren’t using that newest technology.
