[request] Different Fusion Cache file formats

PostFri Dec 07, 2018 8:46 am

Hi folks.

When I'm using an internal SSD drive as "Media Storage Location" Fusion comps render pretty fine now.

But if I change this location to my NAS server (1Gb connection , fast HDD drives) which generates up to 120 MB/s bandwidth cached sequence gets jaggy.

It must be related to cache files size. Davinci generated huge stacks of large files.
Using a NAS is a good idea since Davinci stores gigantic amount of cache files and SSD drives are much more expensive for this type of task.

It could get improved if we got a possibility to change the cache file type to PNG, tga or anything else.
Just a thought.
