Pocket 4K Clean Feed Issue

PostFri Jan 04, 2019 2:46 pm

Hi

Anyone using an external recorder with their Pocket 4K? Specifically the Ninja V? When recoding yesterday I noticed that the auto white balance marker (hold WB button for 3 secs) showed up in the clean feed and was recorded by the Atomos. Anyone else experiencing this?

Did you turn off everything or get a clean feed? Or did you turn on the Clean Feed option?

Kristian,

Everything is off, only "Clean Feed" is enabled in the menu.

Kristian,

To be honest, this is not the only issue I have run into:

The Ninja is capable of accepting high frame-rate output but there seems to be an issue when outputing
anything above 60fps. When setting the frame rate the Pocket 4K lets you set 60fps at any resolution (non-off speed). This is fine up to 60fps for the Ninja even when using the off-speed option, however, when you use any frame rate above 60fps in off-speed mode it seems to not correctly be sent to the Ninja V. The Ninja V is capable of handling the 120fps signal but seems to be capped out 60 not matter what the setting in the Pocket. Also I notice that you can not select 120 fps as a non-off speed setting even in a HD window setting, is there a reason for this? I understand that HFR is conformed in camera, but sometimes you just don't want that.

Sorry for the craziness of all the questions ...

Is hdmi cable fast enough to send 120 fps to ninja?

Thanks, let me know if providing you some footage and the settings of the camera and Ninja would help so that your engineers can better recreate the problem.
