Disable the Polyline Mask on the time line

PostThu Jan 10, 2019 3:20 pm

Hello to every member of this forum,

This is my first post. My name is Dariusz Liszewski.
I'm starting my adventure with Fusion that's why I have a newbie question but I could not find an answer on the Internet.
How can I turn off a Polyline Mask on the timeline?
Creating new Polyline, no matter which frame one start places the mask in the first frame.
How can one limit the scope of the mask in time?

Thank you very much for your kind answer in advance.

Happy New Year,

You can use the blend option to fade the Mask in and out when you don't need it.
Or - if you don't use the motion blur option - you can just move it out of frame when it's not needed and then move it in frame when you do.

You could go and fiddle with the bars in the timeline view, but I wouldn't recommend that approach.
It's a little less robust than the other approaches.

In addition to Sander's answer I'll add another approach: animate "Solid" checkbox.

Which only works when you have 'no' border width, correct?

Exactly, but borders are in lesson #7. :)
