DeckLink 8k Pro - win10 not detected

PostSat Feb 02, 2019 5:31 pm

Hello,
we are solving problem with our new 8k pro card - Desktop video under win 10 does not see the card. Installed the new Destkop video. On same computer, but with ubuntu, desktop video detects the card. But works only with media expres, no OBS :( Have you some idea, what to do with windows?
Thanks,
Jan

Well it works here without flaws. Win10 Pro X64 Desktop Video 10.11.4 ;)

Maybe remove Desktop Video and re-install.. Sometimes drivers do not come up correct.

Hello, I'm Jan's colleague, and i'm also working on this issue.

We have Win 10 Pro x64, build 1809; @Xtreemtec - do you have the same build or older one ? We don't have any option to test it on older win 10 build.

We have reinstalled Desktop video several time, with restarts; we tried also older version of Desktop video, especially 10.11 which was the first one with Decklink 8K Pro support - no result

We tried flash BIOS but din't help (our MB is MSI X399)

Crazy think is, that desktop video is not detecting the card, but Resolve can send there output monitor. Even when the Resolve is working, the decklink is not detecting the card.

Desktop Video doesn't recognize my Intensity Pro 4K !

I've had this problem for a long time - till I tried to enable Blackmagic Software Updater in Windows 10 Pro, Task Manager! Remember to restart your computer! Now it seems perfect!

My build is also 1809 And up to date on Windows updates. ;)

You might want to test to swap the card to a different cardslot if possible in your machine. It sometimes helps with decklink cards. :)
