Few Color Page questions

PostThu Feb 14, 2019 11:05 am

Working on PC with DR 15 studio.

1. Working with files recorded in camera on Canon DSLRs, in the Project Settings -> Color Management -> Input Color Space; is Rec.709 Gamma 2.4 the proper setting?

2. Working with the same files (recorded in camera on Canon DSLRs) and a color checker, either X-Rite ColorChecker Video or X-Rite ColorChecker Passport Video, in the Color Match settings:
a. Should the Source Gamma selected in the menu be Rec.709?
b. Should the Color Temperature selected in the menu match the actual color temperature of the shooting, or should it be the desired, aimed color temperature?

3. Shooting either X-Rite ColorChecker Video or X-Rite ColorChecker Passport Video, where should be the white bar of the ColorChecker and where should be the black bar on the Waveform Monitor for accurate exposure/rendering?

4. Shooting an 18% Grey Card, where should it be on the Waveform Monitor for correct exposure? Is it the dotted line marked 512 the correct place?

5. Shooting an 18% Grey Card, I believe that on the Parade Scope, when all 3 waveforms are of the same height the color balance should be accurate. Is that correct?
