mobile color ref monitor

PostSat Feb 16, 2019 4:24 pm

Good morning Folks, After years of working in post facilities as a Colorist. I've recently started a new venture as a mobile freelance Colorist. Mainly in commercial market. I'm pretty geared up with everything I need except reference monitor.

My question is do purchase a Sony PVMA250 25 or 17 ? Is 17 to small? Which at the moment is pretty lightweight to tote around.

I was hoping oled would make its way into desktop monitor displays. Does anyone have any insight of a display coming out in the near future for desktop? Like ASUS ProArt PQ22UC oled display.
Thanks

I have the PVMA250 25, it is a very good compromise between the accuracy and color. Very portable.

some folks will swear for the Flander (same panel size).

Flanders use same Sony panels as far I'm aware.
Doesn't mean they are the same, but main quality/accuracy will be similar.
