BMPCC 4K Fan Clicking

PostMon May 06, 2019 6:53 pm

Hi. Just received my BMPCC 4K, there’s a really loud clicking noise when the camera is tilted. Could this be a fan? Worth sending back or is it possible to fix?

Been on a waiting list for months to receive, slightly hesitant about sending it back.

Any ideas or information welcomed.

Thanks

Glenn

I have the same problem.

It started to click after 1 hour of use, continuously. If I tilt the camera, it is clicking even worse.

Probably the same batch, I've received my unit 10 days ago from B&H.

Call BMD Support for your region. And don’t use the camera. Something is loose and may completely fail.

My 6k makes a clicking sound when tilted, or whip panned by hand. Sounds like a fan blade is hitting against something.

Send it back immediately. Your money will be gone and you wont have a working unit if you don't. Deal with the local re-seller at first and then BM. Based on prior posts the "lemon" rate is around 10%.
