SDI TROUBLE (BLACKDROPOUTS) ULTRASTUDIO EXPRESS THUNDERBOLT

Hi,

I´m having trouble capturing Standard Definition SDI signals into Media Express.
Randomly during capturing, black dropouts appear for approx 2 sec without mediaexpress noticing.
Offcourse I tried different cables, and even switched between players but without results.
I also tried a sync generator (like the usb3 version seems to need) and tested in a secured area without possible ground loops.

Today tested a AJA sdi-hdmi converter and the ultra studio express, and that seemed to work without black dropouts …but results in losing audio tracks while capturing SP tapes because hdmi only captures 2.

My Setup:
iMac, OS Yosemite and Macbook Pro Snow Leopard
Blackmagic Ultrastudio Express thunderbolt
Sony DVWA500 / J30SDI

Anyone having the same problems, or better… got SD SDI captures working?

While wandering thru a lot of topics I found out that someone experienced the same trouble with capturing from a J30SDI, and there´s a lot of SDI capturing trouble with DeckLink as well!
So it seems to me that it might be an overall SDI blackmagic problem, if not an Ultrastudio Express one.

Please, help me out!
