Choppy SDI Input

PostThu Jun 20, 2019 7:08 pm

Hi All,

I'm using a Decklink PCIe Mini Recorder to get SDI into Resolume, but the footage I'm seeing is quite choppy, nowhere near as smooth as the camera output. It occasionally goes from good to bad to really bad, to good again - but the PC resource usage stays exactly the same.

I'm willing to pay whatever to get the system upgraded, but I just need to know where I need to be focusing my energies first!

The system is a Dell Optiplex 3010 that has been transplanted into a 19" rack case and has had a couple of upgrades:

[*]Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit
[*]i5-3470 @ 3.20Ghz
[*]8GB RAM
[*]256GB Seagate Barracuda SSD
[*]NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti

Resource usage for mem, disk, cpu and gfx hovers around 50% so nothing is getting maxed out. Any ideas on what to target with this first would be much appreciated.

P.S. Choppy output is displayed both in Resolume and also Media Express.

Hi all,

Does anyone have any ideas on this or should I open a support request? Got a show coming up in a weeks time so want to try and iron out any issues first :-)

Jay
