About DB9 to B4 lens cable

PostFri Aug 16, 2019 2:17 pm

Hello, I purchased a blackmagic cable to power and control a Fujinon XS13x3.3BRM (1/2inch made for PMW-EX3 Sony) my Micro Studio Camera. Unfortunately, the 12-pin female connector of the BMD cable does not match with the 10-pin female serial connector of my Fuji lens :(

It was already quite challenging to find an adaptor M4/3 to B4 1/2 Sony but this new issue is even a bigger one. If someone here could help me to find a solution, that would make my day :)

Thanks

A 1/2" Sony lens has a hotshoe (connections in the lens mount) for connection to the lens body instead of a seperate cable like on B4 lenses or 1/2" Panasonic/JVC/Philips mount camera's (these were ONLY SD).

The connectors on the bottom of the lens are for connection to seperate zoom/focus controllers, or on more expensive models to get tracking data from the lens (detailed zoom and focus info).

A 1/2-inch lens is not going to cover the larger sensor on the Micro Studio Camera either. You need a 2/3rds B4 lens.
