16.1b1 bug or...? (Blanking Fill vs Subtitles)

PostSat Aug 17, 2019 5:45 am

Who can check on other versions of the DVR?

1. Place an image or video
2. Zoom out for blank space
3. Apply Blanking Fill (all works)
4. Add Subtitles (Blanking Fill disappear)

I think blanking fill OFX currently has alpha transparency issues. Also has problems with transitions.

Known bug. I assume it will be fixed soon, as it worked in one of the earlier 16 betas.

Thank you for the idea!
Fun fact: everything works if Blanking Fill is added on the Color tab.

I had this same problem

just from some playing around, I added an adjustment layer above the clips I had blanking fill applied and changed the composite mode of that adjustment layer to Color Dodge.

Subtitles and other video clips above the adjustment layer no longer affect the blanking fill effect applied below the adjustment layer.

The blanking layer didn't work as I thought it would but this 'hack' produced the desired result, for me anyways

I tried applying Blanking Fill OFX in colour page, but it still has issue with transitions.
