What is the mask input on merge for?

PostTue Oct 08, 2019 10:00 pm

Hi folks,

I've been messing around with the merge mask input, and i really don't understand what it's for.

It seems no matter what i connect to it or what parameters i tweak, for me it does absolutely nothing.

Could anyone give me an example of how you might use it?

Thanks! ...... D

It is used for masking what is connected to the Foreground input of the Merge node.
