Entering Values, etc.

PostMon Dec 30, 2019 9:21 pm

Something that's been bugging me about Fusion is the relative difficulty of entering numeric values into boxes. It just seems balky, and hard to select the whole value top change it, or to scrub. And a lot of boxes have one max value with the slider, and quite another max value if numerically entered. Highly annoying!

And relatedly, it's far too difficult to find the exact point for the viewport switches. Very fumbly.

Yes, selecting numbers in v16 an issue. Fusion 9 and earlier were way better in that regard. And there's really no sense in a scrubbable numeric field anyway if there's a slider right next to the field.

Most controls have an actual max or min value that's much wider than the slider's range, but the sliders are pegged to what is anticipated to be a useful range. This is so tiny adjustments don't result in massive changes. If you enter a number that's higher than the slider's range, the slider will be re-normalized to include that new max value, and often a little bit of headroom above it.
