SpeedTest for windows?

PostSat Feb 15, 2020 1:17 am

Hey all,

Where the heck is the Windows Speed Test software? I can't find it, and it is pretty essential that we can use it to determine various HDD/SSD speeds. Surprised it is still not easily found on their site.

It doesn't exist anymore - it's now the Blackmagic RAW speed test.

There are two speed test utilities: one for disk and one for BRAW processing. These can be found on the support page but are bundled with other things. Do a little exploring there.

I can´t find it on the support 'blog' page? A clear arranged download page still doesnt exit for BM products??

And why is/was ist bundled with a capture card driver.

That all doesn´t make any sense?

As others mentioned, it comes with Desktop Video. You can install it even on a machine which doesn't have a BM card. Also, even though you are prompted to reboot after installing Desktop Video, you don't need to if you only want to quickly use the Speed test.

And to find Desktop Video, you need to select "Capture and Playback" on the support page. Or go directly to

https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/suppor ... d-playback
