Here my quick n dirty travel rig...
You'll notice the cheapo hacked top bar. I got the Ikan Blackfly. I like the simplicity of it and their BMCC botttom plate design. Plus it's quite scalable. Unfortunately, there was a packing error and I didn't receive the top plate/arms. Nice anodized aluminum with proper 1/4" holes. So I needed to improvise.
Also, since I wanted everything in one handhold kit, I wanted to mount the mixer on top. A definite downside to the Azden FMX22 is it's size. It's pretty tall. Sooooo, 15 washers and some longer screws and done. It all fits.
I really need to find some low profile 90 degree 1/4" plugs, because it's hard to get your hand on the left handle with a straight plug hooked up. For this trip, it'll do.
I'm going to weigh it tomorrow, but I think it's about 12lbs.
