ATEM live production to EDL

PostMon Jul 29, 2013 5:59 am

I have finished manufacture and now selling my Event Logger for use with the ATEM production Switchers.

Just start recording your production and then start the logger. It saves every program cut and dissolve into a log for creating an EDL that imports into NLE and Colorgrading apps!

"The Event Logger is a small palm sized unit that communicates with the ATEM using an industry standard RJ45 network cable. You connect to your network switch that also has the ATEM and controlling devices connected to. These controlling devices can be the standard ‘ATEM software control panel’, the ‘ATEM hardware control panel’ and even wireless control panels as used with the iPad or anything else that controls the ATEM over that network."

Have a look at the video demo -

Yo Baz.
A great product but please change your website from an enormous PNG to an actual HTML page :D

And have you considered using the Ethernet board instead of Uno with Ethernet shield?

My tally system runs on the Ethernet board to save space and they are usually cheaper then buying both board separately.

Hey Jonas

The website is only temporary as I sacked my web designers and they stripped my site down.

Also I don't use Uno, I use Mega boards as they have the extra I/O pins and the extra 3 serial ports that are all used with my RS422 Event logger (coming in Q4). The other problem with the Uno+Ethernet shield is that the combo shares some control pins between Ethernet and the SDcard which I use both VERY heavily.

So I take the hit with the extra costs involved with the hardware but buying in bulk helps a little.

The card I use in my up coming full blowm ATEM control panel is the EtherMega...

Very expensive but very good.

I am also looking at migrating away from Arduino and having a play with Cubiboard2 as a microcontroller. It is very feature rich....

If only I was 20 years younger what I could have done with all this hardware!
