B&H Back order notification BMPCC

Hi all:
Just to give anyone who ordered the BMPCC from B&H an update, I just received another back order on my camera. I ordered mine on the 9th in the morning. I will post the minute I'm notified from B&H.

If you placed your order on 4/9/13 I would not think you'd see a change in your order for a while unless they are fulfilling orders without any order. If you missed the first day of announcement at b&h you could easily be the 200 - 500th order in the back log. Hopefully not but thats normally how it is with b&h. My .2

B&H give no information out on pre-orders.

I ordered on the 8th April within an hour of the BMPCC going on their website.

But I do think you are better with a smaller retailer - I hear B&H received over a 1,000 orders on the first day!!

Actually B&H gives back order information about every 3 weeks to me as they did when I ordered my BMCC back in August of last year.

Where are you getting this information?

I am told B&H do not share order information with their sales people. Meaning there is not wait list or order information.

I spoke with them today. They seem annoyed at the BMPCC situation. I think the 1,000 orders on day one may have been exaggerated - did not sound like it though. I was warned not to expect deliverty from the first batch even though I ordered morning of 8th April....

Just received a shipping notice from B&H that my BMPCC is on its way. I preordered the camera on the 8th late in the day.

Can you be specific as to what late in the day means?
Was it before or after 3pm eastern time?

I placed the order around 3pm Eastern time, so I clearly wasn't early in the queue. I did speak with a B&H representative live today just to verify the fact they were shipping it out today and he confirmed, so I would assume that orders placed before 3pm on the 8th are probably shipping as well.

I ordered at 2:34pm eastern time on the 8th, and my order status is listed as "in stock, order sent to warehouse."

I definitely haven't received a shipping email. Maybe they aren't shipping them out in chronological order?

Anybody who ordered AFTER the 8th from B&H get their camera yet?

Ordered mine on 11 August.

I ordered at 5pm on 8th April and B&H still list me as "on order... who knows when you'll get it?"

Seems some who ordered later than April have recieved theirs so what is going on????
