Blackmagic pocket cinema camera perfect lens combination?

Hi guys, my black magic pocket cinema camera is just about the corner, but I don't have a large budget for lenses. (up to 1000$) Ideally I want a lens good for close ups and wide shots.
What do you think of this lense combination, am planning to shot documentary style, daily life, and social events.

- Panasonic 14-42mm F/3.5-5.6 Lumix G Vario Mega OIS Zoom Lens for Micro Four Thirds Lens Mount Systems

Other option for a prime lens is the PANASONIC LEICA 25MM.

The Panasonic 14-42mm F/3.5-5.6 isn't working properly on my Pocket Cam - the zoom doesn't change, is stuck on 14mm. (has the latest firmware and works fine on my Lumix cameras)

Although bigger the Panasonic 12-35 f2.8 is a more useful lens.
Have only had the camera for less than a week so still working through all my lenses to find the best combination.

I think my 14-42 is the Mega OIS version, and IS doesn't work in it because it doesn't have an IS switch.

Picked up the 12-35 f2.8 on Friday, only had about 10 minutes to play on the weekend but it's a nice lens to handle.

If you want one lens in that budget for a variety of shots the 12-35 would be my suggestion, or find a version of the 14-42 that has an IS switch.

You can always add some primes later on.
