Amazing skill...almost five minutes of glorious daytime footage and only two shots (:24 and :30) with any specular highlights. Not much in Venice reflects, huh?

Well, there's also evidence of blooming in later shots, e.g. :34 shows blooming at the railing of the boat, and even in the lens flare. 1:10 has a very prominent spill puddle (i like that term) from the white house wall down the alley. And there are smaller white orbs flickering on and off in some water reflections.

But none of it really ruins the wonderfull images, in fact the whole clip shows how remarkably well this camera deals with high contrast scenes and how beautifully it reproduces the subtle color and texture even in the shadows.

Thank you for sharing!

The Production Camera? Does anyone still believe it's going to be built? Really?!

Yeah, but you're right. The Title could be misleading.

Maybe you are joking (no "smilies")?

Anyway, I expect the BMPC-4K cams to be built, and "soon" ... at least I hope so!

Of course, it'll be interesting to see if the BMPC-4K will be BMD's first late but "perfect" camera out of the gate. Again, I hope so, but history is not on its side, unfortunately. Despite this, I remain strangely optimistic. We'll see.

Sorry Peter, of course i'm joking!

Actually i'm really looking forward to the 4k camera; not for me, can't afford it and its environment, and won't have use for 4k in the foreseeable future. But i'm positively enjoying the prospect of all the fine films that others will create using blackmagics tools!

Issues with equipment can, in general, be addressed.

Problems with people, unfortunately, are often beyond repair.

Yet another pearl from this guy. You need a sticky!

Whenever I read your comments I hear the voice of Ossie Davis. The soft dulcet tones of plain spoken wisdom.

I think that was an initial draft version and that he indicated he would follow with a better one when he got somewhere with better bandwidth. If I recall correctly...

Hi Marc: Sorry, I don't understand.

Again, as I said, the BMPC-4K is late, but I'm hoping it'll be "perfect" when it initially ships ... a first for BMD if it happens.
