Fusion Expressions character limit

PostFri Mar 15, 2019 10:21 pm

Hello everyone!

Is there any way around the character limit in fusion expressions?
I have written a lua code for 28 easing methods, the code checks if the input value is 0-28 and then returns a result from the formula of the selected easing method. The problem is, the code is 200 lines long and the expression can fin only a 7th part of the whole code.
I have tried putting the code in CustomTool.Setup1, but it does not seem to return any value. Though when I test each separate part of the code, it works.
I hope someone here has been in a similar situation and found a way out!

Thank you,
Kirill

What a nice and ambitious project.

Basically, I think you'll have to create a script instead of working with expressions, but beside that I have no actual response to your question, but you might want to check out this link

It sounds like a setup similar to yours. I'm pretty sure you'll find some very useful info there.
