I ordered a plastic wrapped sealed BMPCC4K from Ebay...

PostSun Apr 07, 2019 1:58 am

When I unraveled the plastic wrap and opened the box, everything was inside. Manuals, wire, etc.

When I got to the camera, the plastic layer on top of the screen was merely off, it came with a dent. The camera itself looked as if it was mishandled in the packaging process.

Is it possible that the ebay seller re-wrapped the box & I bought a used camera? I searched the web to find out if people can actually re-wrap the box with plastic wrap and couldn't find anything solid on it.

Everything with the camera seems to be fine, to my knowledge. I don't know why this camera shipped this way. (if it shipped this way) Is it like Blackmagic to miss this?

thank you!

Some dust/scratch on it as if it something rubbed on it or something hit it.

With all those scuff marks. It"s got "used" written all *over* it, for sure. Better hurry if you need to file for a return/refund.

Yikes, even if it came wrapped in the plastic wrapping it ships with? Isn’t there a chance this was a manufacturing issue from blackmagic? :?

You're kidding, right? What assurance at all do you have, that even remotely suggests that's the *original* manufacturer applied shrink-wrap you confidently presume to be?

Don't you smell a rat at all?

EBay has a return policy if the item is not as described. Takes some photos and file a claim with eBay.
This is why, I would not buy a new “still sealed” camera off eBay, unless it is a known reputable seller, like a camera shop.

I recently received a supposed new BMPCC4K from Adorama that was shrinked wrapped..it was clearly used. Dusty. Dings and nicks here and there. Corrodeed small screw head on the camera. Some appearant salt crystals here snd there. I returned it for a refund.

I pray @alainmollinedo possesses the consumerist discernment, and responsive "Return" mentality you display, Mike.
