Full Web Presenter XML DTD / Documentation

PostThu Dec 19, 2024 2:23 am

Hey,

Reading through the Web Presenter 4K documentation on creating a custom config XML file, and it only shows examples. There’s no comprehensive DTD or list of all the tags available that the system can interpret.

Has anything got something comprehensive?

Cheers, Rob

Could someone from BMD support look at this?

It’s really frustrating not having complete documentation of a core feature and is surely easy to sort out.

Really struggling to do anything but basic stuff with SRT, without more documentation on the xml file format and without a full worked example showing all supported / possible parameters.

Ah, that explains it then.

So I’m guessing the lack of reference to specifying a given latency is also not implemented.

…I’m not sure this device is going to be of any use to us.

If you need a complete SRT implementation (or better RIST support), it's not designed for...

Yes I think that has become very obvious to everyone who’s bought it to send an SRT stream, it is completely useless for that. I have no idea why anyone would only partially implement a protocol, astoundingly poor quality.

Yeah, the official docs are pretty limited on that. I haven’t seen a full DTD anywhere, but you might have luck reaching out to BMD support directly.
