Miscellaneous input color space category

PostThu Sep 21, 2023 5:04 pm

We are working on a tv series in Davinci Wide Gamut and my assistant editor had to assign Rec 709 as the input colour space on all drone footage. Unfortunately she assigned Rec 709 scene instead of Rec 709 gamma 2.4. I told her that Rec 709 Gamma 2.4 resides under the Misc heading. Why is Rec 709 gamma 2.4 not under the Rec 709 heading? The same goes for Rec 2020 gamma 2.4, which is in the misc folder. Why is this not under the Rec 2020 heading. I think this causes confusion marooning input settings in a miscellaneous folder when there is a heading for that input colour already available.

Thanks,

You may want to ask this question in the Davinci sub forum - this one is for third party software developers wanting to build things that work with BMD products, not for communicating with BMD's developers directly.
