Problem updating Linux driver from 11.6 to 11.7

PostThu Nov 19, 2020 1:50 pm

Error upgrading from driver 11.6 to 11.7.

CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 (Core)
Linux kernel 3.10.0-1160.2.2.el7.x86_64
Blackmagic_Desktop_Video_Linux_11.6.tar

As directed by the forum posts, I erased 11.6 as follows:

[root@swnode0 user]# rpm -qa | grep desktopvideo | xargs rpm -e
Stopping systemd services...
DesktopVideoHelper
Disabling systemd services...
DesktopVideoHelper
Unloading modules...
blackmagic
blackmagic_io
cat: /var/lib/rpm-state/desktopvideo/new-version: No such file or directory
[root@swnode0 user]#

Cards still in place:

[root@swnode0 user]# lspci | grep ackmagic
05:00.0 Multimedia video controller: Blackmagic Design DeckLink Mini Recorder
0a:00.0 Multimedia video controller: Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro
0e:00.0 Multimedia video controller: Blackmagic Design DeckLink Quad 2
0f:00.0 Multimedia video controller: Blackmagic Design DeckLink Quad 2
13:00.0 Multimedia video controller: Blackmagic Design DeckLink Quad 2
14:00.0 Multimedia video controller: Blackmagic Design DeckLink Quad 2
44:00.0 Multimedia video controller: Blackmagic Design DeckLink Quad 2

49:00.0 Multimedia video controller: Blackmagic Design DeckLink Quad 2
4a:00.0 Multimedia video controller: Blackmagic Design DeckLink Quad 2
[root@swnode0 user]#

Tried to install 11.7. No success...

CTRL-C did not recover.
System unstable.
Hard reset.

After bootup:

When DeviceConfigure SDK sample is used:

[user@swnode0 ~]$ ./DeviceList
DeckLinkAPI version: 11.7.0
No Blackmagic Design devices were found.

[user@swnode0 ~]$

I saw the following issue with DKMS. I do not know if it is related.

[root@swnode0 user]# dkms status
Error! Could not locate dkms.conf file.
File: /var/lib/dkms/blackmagic/11.6a26/source/dkms.conf does not exist.

[root@swnode0 user]# dkms remove blackmagic/11.6a22 --all
Error! The module/version combo: blackmagic-11.6a22
is not located in the DKMS tree.

[root@swnode0 user]# ls -l /var/lib/dkms/blackmagic

Any comments on my driver update procedure?
Regards...
