Desktop Video drivers on Mac silicon?

Is there a plan afoot to port/compile the BMD drivers on Apple's M1 silicon?

It would be nice to build an Xcode project knowing that your end client, being on an M1 Mac, won't be dependent upon Rosetta for their BMD functionality.

Just to be clear, while the Desktop Video 12.0b1 drivers are now compatible for Big Sur (and will run on M1 hardware), it's unclear whether such drivers are universal -- ie. Intel/AS, or whether they're dependent on Rosetta2.
