[Quad HDMI Recorder] Image captured shifted right

Hello,

After normal working of DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder for a few weeks, with the last SDK and running over Debian 10, I have issue with the image captured by the device.

The image captured is shifted to the right, the las row of the image, that supposed, you should view in the rigth part of the image is the row that you see in the left part of the frame, and the rest of the image is moved to the rigth to compensate the shifting.

**Example with a simple matrix**:

Correct frame:
[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]
[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]
[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]
[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]

Corrupt frame geted:
[10][1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]
[10][1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]
[10][1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]
[10][1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]

I tried to change the HDMI interface to other ports of DeckLink Quad HDMI and the problem persists, and I am sure that the source is not the problem becouse I tried to conncet to other devices and works property. Also I used differents methods for get the image, like MediaExpress software or ffmpeg...

The only way that I know for solve this is rebooting the PC, after that works well for a couple of days. But I consider that this solution is too much invasive method for other system services.

Thank you for contacting us. This is a known issue and our engineers are currently working on a fix. We hope to have a resolution for this soon.

Thanks for the answer, I also hope have a resolution for this issue soon.

In the meanwhile, do you know any way or tool to do a hot reboot/reset/rescan of the Quad HDMI Recorder? so as not to have to reboot the PC every time this issue appears.

In my first hours of utilization I haved same problem, I restarted my computer and .... now i not see my Decklink QUAD HDMI Recorder . Damaged?

I tried everything but it seems to have disappeared from the components installed in my pc :(

Hi guys, the fastest way to solve this problem is: reset pci bus, so you don't need to reboot the system

The way is as follows.

1. stop the recording application using decklink sdk api
2. stop decklink desktop running in the background
3. reset the pci bus corresponding to blackmagic card

Then.
1. restart the decklink desktop running in the background
2. reopen the recording application using the decklink sdk api

The problem is solved. But it's a workaround.

I hope BMD engineers will solve this problem as soon as possible, because it has been a long, long time, more than a quarter.

Dear Blackmagic Engineers,
Is there any news on this? It has been occurring from day dot with this card, nearly 6 months. This issue continually presents a problem and happens so erratically that it drives our client crazy.
Please advise!

Just rolled out the Desktop Video 12.1 update. It required a firmware update for the card which makes sense. So far so good. This was a real problem for us. Thanks to those who worked on the fixes.
Will advise after the weekend how it works for us.

Hello, so does the new Desktop Video 12.1 update fix the problem?

If is like that, would be nice if someone posts if the results obtained with the new Desktop Video version are successful and also if is necesary some others adjustments than the normal installation.
