Which input for the Deck Link SDK

Hello everybody,

i'am new to developing with the Deck Link SDK. Maybe my question is ugly, but I want to know if it is possible to use the Deck Link SDK with every SDI stream (for example from HDMI to SDI converted streams) or does the SDK only works with BM components.

I want to build a little software tool which analizes an sdi stream and I think the SDK is a nice base for this.

To make my question more specific: I use the UltraStudio Recorder with an HDMI input. Is it possible to use the Deck Link SDK with a camera which is not from BlackMagic?
In the documentation stands that the SDK "supports [...] Cinema Camera, Hyperdeck Studio products" for capturing. Is this up-to-date?
