How to check if SDI I/P format lock to the analog REF

PostSun Apr 25, 2021 6:56 pm

Hi,

I am trying to get current reference signal locked status by using bmdDeckLinkStatusReferenceSignalLocked. When I have NTSC as the reference, I get bmdDeckLinkStatusReferenceSignalLocked to be 1. Then I switch reference to be PAL, bmdDeckLinkStatusReferenceSignalLocked changes to 0 as expected. But when the reference is switched back to NTSC, bmdDeckLinkStatusReferenceSignalLocked keeps 0 until I restart my app. After restarting, bmdDeckLinkStatusReferenceSignalLocked is back to 1 again.

Do you know why this happens? What is the proper way to check if SDI I/P format will Genlock to the analog REF during run time?

Thank you!
