Is it possible to build iOS application from existing SDK?

PostFri Jun 25, 2021 1:59 am

Hi All, I am new to this forum and Atem.

I've noticed there are some applications in ios AppStore that can let you to control your ATEM Mini series controller. And I tried to download Blackmagic ATEM Switchers SDK 8.6.1 from the official website, found that the built projects are desktop based(ie: MacOS and WinOS).

May I ask is it possible or is there any existing libraries that can help you to build iOS-based application? Or is there any guidance to help building those necessary resources.

Many Thanks!

MixEffect developer here. I used the Swift-ATEM library as a starting point for my app since the BMD SDK doesn't support iOS: https://github.com/Dev1an/Swift-Atem

For reference, you can look at the Skarrhoj documentation, but that covers an older version of the UDP protocol (still handy though): https://www.skaarhoj.com/discover/black ... r-protocol

Other libraries exists for other platforms (i.e. Linux, .Net) that you can learn from such as LibAtem: https://github.com/LibAtem or https://github.com/topics/atem
Developer of MixEffect, the best app for controlling your ATEM switchers using your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Silicon Mac: https://mixeffect.app
