Hi,

we have a Linux system with a DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder card, and had some troubles that the DesktopVideoHelper.service was not properly started. Due to this some questions came up:

What is the purpose of the DesktopVideoHelper.service?

Is it mentioned some where in the SDK/Driver documentation that this is necessary to run any of the code interfacing with the card? If yes, can you point me to it?

Hey, sorry to hijack your question, but what Desktop Video version are you running to get your Decklink Quad to work? Also what distro and desktop env? I can't get my device to show up in OBS or VLC, although it works with Media Express.

I would also like to know what this service is for.
