Hello,
I have an issue with two of my Blackmagic DeckLink 8K Pro cards.
When I try to start a video capture in 1080p@29.97 mode I don't get any frames delivered via IDeckLinkInputCallback::VideoInputFrameArrived() callback. If I check the contents of the kernel ring buffer with dmesg | tail -n 50 right after the failed capture attempt I see this output:
[ 309.957372] dpc 0000:19:08.0:pcie210: DPC containment event, status:0x000b source:0x1b00
[ 309.957375] dpc 0000:19:08.0:pcie210: DPC ERR_NONFATAL detected, remove downstream devices
[ 309.964582] BlackmagicIO: Removing blackmagic!io3 [0000:1b:00.0]
[ 309.964752] BlackmagicIO: Removing blackmagic!io2 [0000:1b:00.0]
[ 309.964826] BlackmagicIO: Removing blackmagic!io1 [0000:1b:00.0]
[ 309.964889] BlackmagicIO: Removing blackmagic!io0 [0000:1b:00.0]
[ 309.987139] dpc 0000:19:0c.0:pcie210: DPC containment event, status:0x000b source:0x1c00
[ 309.987143] dpc 0000:19:0c.0:pcie210: DPC ERR_NONFATAL detected, remove downstream devices
[ 310.007996] BlackmagicIO: Removing blackmagic!io7 [0000:1c:00.0]
[ 310.008179] BlackmagicIO: Removing blackmagic!io6 [0000:1c:00.0]
[ 310.008256] BlackmagicIO: Removing blackmagic!io5 [0000:1c:00.0]
[ 310.008309] BlackmagicIO: Removing blackmagic!io4 [0000:1c:00.0]
Those lines weren't there before the capture. I am not sure why the devices are removed and I cannot see them with lspci anymore. I didn't have the issue 2 weeks ago when I initially did the capture, I am not sure what happened between now and then. Any advice on what those messages mean would be highly appreciated.
Here is additional info on my setup:
* Ubuntu 18.04 with 4.15.0-55-generic kernel
* Every connector is set to individual In or Out
* The firmware is up-to-date according to the DesktopVideoUpdateTool tool.
Also Ubuntu is set up without the GUI so I can not run the MediaExpress tool to check the signal. When I try to run it over ssh connecting with X11 forwarding enabled it just crashes for me with a SEGFAULT. I can run BlackmagicDesktopVideoSetup over the same connection without issues.
Thanks!
