SDK on Ubuntu

PostThu Feb 09, 2023 8:42 am

I wanted to install the 12.4.2 SDK, but I have been unable to do so using the various builders as errors are constantly being returned. What is the best way to add the SDK on Ubuntu?

Hi Denacien,

The SDK is not an installer package and does not need to be installed. Instead, the SDK includes the following:
- header files for the DeckLinkAPi
- comprehensive documentation of the interfaces used in the API
- Sample applications to help demonstrate these interfaces and concepts

You can download the SDK from our developer website:
https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/au/dev ... d-playback

The Desktop Video software and drivers must be installed on your system first. For Linux, we ship both .deb and .rpm packages to install, depending on your distribution of Linux. We include troubleshooting instructions in the included README.txt file.

Kind regards,
Brendan
