Handle device power cycle via black magic protocol

Hello everyone!

Please help me to understand - is it possible to detect device (let's say teranex) power off.
I'm using node.js and tcp socket to establish a connection to the device. Everything works fine, except I'm not getting any events, or something if that device was power cycled.

So I'm curious is there a way to detect this without constantly device polling?
