Getting a readable video file while capturing

PostMon Jan 08, 2024 10:58 am

Hi All,

I'm using the Mac DeckLink SDK in an Xcode project, capturing using an Ultrastudio Recorder 3G.

I've got a basic capture working where it previews what is being captured, and writes a video file at the end of the capture. This is all based on the FileCapture example, I've just integrated this into my larger project.

My problem is that I need to have a video file that's readable during the capture, at the moment the temp file it writes during the capture is not readable until it is finalised when the capture ends, is there a way to get it to 'finalise' a file so that it is readable, every X seconds, while still capturing?

Thanks!
