I am using the latest version of AVFoundation on Mac OS X 10.10 (actually I believe that I have the Beta OS X 10.11 AVFoundation) with the BlackMagic Desktop Video Utility 10.4.3. The Blackmagic video device is not showing in the AVCaptureDevice devices list meaning that I can not select it as a video capture device. Strangely enough the Audio capture device does show up in the list.
The Blackmagic device does show up in the camera selection for Quicktime and is working at 1080i 59.6 so it definitely seems tho be an incompatibility between AVFramework and the UltraStudio driver. Does anyone have a workaround for this? I guess I could find the device using CoreVideo and then somehow add it to the AVCaptureDevice devices list but I am on a very tight deadline at the moment.
