I am running my ATEM TVS into my iMac
I have:
2.9GHz i5
8GB RAM
1024 MB NVIDIA graphics
OS X 10.9.5
I also run on this computer the Media Express to capture the video/audio, as well as ProPresenter to display a static image.
This last weekend my ATEM software froze on me. I pushed 'Enter' to switch camera, and nothing happened. I tried a couple more time, and nothing. I tried to Force Quit, and therefore default to Camera 1, but even that did not close the program. A few minutes later, everything caught back to and the switcher moved between camera rapidly. This happened multiple times through my 55 minute recording.
What I did not realize until playback, was every time I tried to Force Quit, the video recording would lag for a couple seconds. This made watching the playback rather difficult.
My assumption is that I am simply doing to much with my iMac, but before I build a new computer, I was wanting some verification. Any ideas why ATEM froze, and not the other programs?
