Isn't the persistentID of the DecklinkStudio4K unique?

Hi ,

We have 2 the DecklinkStudio4K cards that the persistentID of them are the same.

This is the details of them:

1 -
label number = 2743309 (this label is behind the DecklinkStudio4K card)
Persistent ID = 2a4621
Topological ID = 480100

2 -
label number = 2743535
Persistent ID = 2a4621
Topological ID = 480100


Please tell me how can I get unique persistent IDs from the DecklinkStudio4K devices.

It is expected that the persistent ID should be unique.

Could you please provide the output from the DeviceList SDK sample?

It would also be helpful to have a description of how the devices are enumerated to determine the persistent ID.

Output of the DeviceList are also completely identical.(Unfortunately)

Note: The cards have been installed on two separate computers. (two Win7 64bit machine)

I found the same problem with UltraMini recorders with the unique ID. This seems strange to me.

Thanks for the clarifications, it does seem very unusual.

I recommend contacting your local support office to organise an RMA for both of the affected products.

To avoid having to relate the description again, please mention / link this forum topic.

@Josh: Could you please clarify which specific device, noting that the UltraStudio Mini Monitor/Recorder do not support BMDDeckLinkPersistentID.
