Automatic switch cam (no operator)

PostThu Apr 21, 2016 2:05 pm

Hello,

I want know information about BlackMagic software (and maybye SDK).

We are a radio and we wish to have automatic realization videos of our chronicles .

For this we need the automatic start of the record with the radio broadcast software but mainly we are looking for a particular feature :

We want the cameras change plan according to the person speaking into the microphone.
By cons we would like a shift system, such as a buffer, which would anticipate the change of camera when the person is talking. So the camera will change immediately.

Do you think a system like this is possible?

Thank you in advance. Cordially.

Definitely doable hypothetically.

You'd have to ingest multi channel audio into a computer and then based on each channels audio level change the camera when the audio level goes above a certain level.

The hard part would be writing the audio side of things - a multi channel audio card with sdk should allow you to work out the volume levels. What audio card do you have?

Time shifting so that audio follow is one solution indeed.
One could look at the normal tendency to raise pitch on the trailing part of a question
Then dio an ATEM auto or cut if signal from another mic without trailing pitch change.
