HDMI 32 Khz Audio incorrect capture

PostTue May 17, 2016 8:38 pm

There is bug in Mini Recorder and Ultrastudio 4K, Audio 32Khz HDMI capture

When HDMI audio with 32Khz + 30 fps is fed into Ultrastudio,
mini recorder pads 800 zero samples into each audio frame , and US 4K randomly puts zeros throughout the packet. It's probably a bit different for 25 fps feeds.

The issue is reproducable in MediaExpress as well, not just API calls. Confirmed on multiple DV S/W versions
Mini recorder can be fixed with software workaround, but not Ultrastudio 4 due to random nature of zero padding.

Please fix!
FYI, 32Khz HDMI source can be found in different digital cameras, e.g. Ricoh Theta S.
32Khz is part of HDMI standard
