Capturing and Output a video at the same time

Can i open the SDI input and the SDI output at the same time with or without your SDK?. What i need is record a live feed from the input and at the same time, playout a video file through the output.

Is there a hardware limitation?

Hi,

You can only do one thing at the time, or capture or playout.
That's a hardware limitation in all the decklink cards.
Are are two new models (coming soon) which are cheaper and do only one thing,
or capture only or playout only. They should be able to work simultaniously.

Unless you use a decklink duo or quad pci card in which case you can. But any of the USB, thunderbolt or single PCI cards cannot.

I don't know (!!!!), but my idea is, that every card, which can operate live keying, must be able to send and receive video at the same time. In this case, it would be depending on the used software... (Or ist the keyer part of the hardware ?)

Thomas, der Keyer ist kein wirklicher Keyer. Er blendet nur von Playback auf live Video, und schaltet dabei Audio HART um. Nicht wirklich brauchbar, selbst man die Fadingtime einstellt. Auch eine Duo oder Quatro kann das nicht. Nur diese Karten sind halt zwei oder 4 karten auf einer...

D.h. zum Öffnen und Überblenden ( oder Logo insertieren etc. ) benötigst Du eine spezielle Software, und .... die bekommst Du bei uns in Berlin.
