Konami Creative Center GINZA Uses URSA Broadcast for eSports

PostWed Jun 03, 2020 12:57 pm

Blackmagic Design today announced that a number of Blackmagic products, including Blackmagic URSA Broadcast and ATEM 2M/E Production Studio 4K, are used at Konami Creative Center GINZA. The center opened in January, 2020 and is built around a Blackmagic Design broadcast workflow.

Konami Holdings Corporation is a Japanese entertainment conglomerate who produces and distributes game software and amusement equipment, as well as conducting other business. Recently, Konami began putting more focus on its eSports business, and has opened their new multi purpose facility in Tokyo, called Konami Creative Center Ginza, which contains an eSports streaming studio, a showroom for eSports related products and an eSports school. The studio can be rented as a public facility for many other usages other than eSports.

The studio offers realistic viewing experiences, and is equipped with a 452 inch LED screen and high quality surround sound system. For capturing game play, three Blackmagic URSA Broadcast cameras, each using Blackmagic Studio Viewfinders and Blackmagic Fiber Converters, plus a Blackmagic Studio Fiber Converter, are used as the studio’s main shooting systems. Each camera output is converted to optical fiber via the Camera Fiber Converter and sent to the Studio Fiber Converter installed in the sub control room. Installing six lines of optical fiber cables, they can easily add additional cameras if necessary.
