Blackmagic Design today announced that Colvin Theatrical completed the filming and post production of 11 community theater plays as part of the upcoming AACTFest 2021 using Pocket Cinema Camera 6Ks and DaVinci Resolve Studio. The project was completed as part of Colvin Theatrical’s Theatrical Multicam, a new service aimed at providing cinematic video and streaming for live theater organizations worldwide based around Blackmagic Design products.

Filming and streaming of plays and performances has continued to increase with theaters across America, even as live performances are starting to take place again. These cinematic, multicamera films and live multicamera strea theaters with new revenue streams and audiences.

Colvin Theatrical, which specializes in the recording and streaming of multi-camera video, is one of the first companies to provide a specific multicam the-atrical service for the huge number of community and school theaters in North America. Since the beginning of the pandemic, they have helped thea-ters produce digital livestreams that reach audiences dozens of times the size of their pre pandemic houses.
