Blackmagic Cinema Camera v1.2 software update now available!

Blackmagic Design today announced a new software update version 1.2 for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera which adds exciting new features including time lapse recording, aperture indicator when using compatible EF lenses, as well as ExFAT formatting for SSD disks. The Blackmagic Cinema Camera has now been certified by Intel for capture and playback with ThunderboltTM computer hardware operating under WindowsTM. Blackmagic Cinema Camera 1.2 software update is available to download now free of charge from the Blackmagic Design Website.

This software update is now available for download on the Support page.

2.5k camera to receive lossless DNG?

I recently heard a rumour that the 2.5k camera maybe receiving an update to allow lossless DNG like that on the other two models. Can you confirm this? This would be brilliant.

Not a rumour. Grant Petty said in an interview at NAB that they hope to bring compressed DNG to the BMCC but would only happen after testing as it was not yet clear if the hardware was capable...

If it happens it probably wont be before the BMPCC and BMPC4K have started to ship.
