Sony hardware and video recovery!

PostFri May 24, 2024 6:54 am

Hi. My Brother is a camera man and just spent two Weeks filming for a show called "what's now" For some bizarre reason his digital camera deleted the files or the SDD was corrupted and videos did not show up!. I used a program called "Photorec" and it undeleted all files including JPGs, XMLs and MSXs. Only prob is that the videos play fine (using celluloid for linux) for 3/4 of shoot and they lose audio. Meaning that he will not be paid for time in labour as footage is unusable! I Tried FFmpeg and Handbrake with no success...however I know the information is there, as when I skip forward in celluloid the video and audio becomes visible yet choppy. Am in the process of downloading VLC player in hopes that I can convert and in the process fix any corrupt data. Any thoughts from this professional community? Any advice appreciated.
